For 7 years every summer the Roxy Pro has put women's 
surfing on centre stage as part of the internationally renowned a festival based in Biarritz.
The Roxy Pro is primarily about World Championship women's surfing: the one and only elite ASP World Tour event to be held in France or Europe this year.

This competition, the penultimate of the ASP Women's World Tour 2012, brings together the top 18 surfers (Top 16 + 2 wildcards) in the world at the sublime setting of the Côte des Basques, Biarritz.

But what makes the Roxy Pro so unique in addition to the presence of the elite women's shortboarders is the mix of trends, artistic influences, music and lifestyle that makes this event the flagship of European surf culture.

Things to experience this year: A (free) concert featuring The Shoes presented by Sosh, with Singtank and The 
Dedicated Nothing; the Venus Art Exhibition featuring 15 comic book artists who have customized a replica of the Venus de Milo with The Roxy Initiative and the 
Spacejunk Art Centers; A longboard exhibition by the icon 
Kassia Meador; and finally a series of events and very girly 
workshops staged in the Roxy lounge on the event site at the Côte des Basques beach.

Lastly, the week will have a daily offering of free 
surfing lessons available to the public, parties, rider signing 
sessions and the spectacular Biarritz fireworks on july 14th on the Grande Plage.
