Singtank

Since the beginning, pop has loved sibling groups. It's great news for Singtank; Josephine writes the lyrics, whilst her brother Alexander, composes the tunes.

The seeds of their music were sown on the web. A few months later they released the dreamlike ‘Nuthouse' and the group's first EP ‘The Party', which led the band to play sets at La Cigale at the Inrocks Festival, London and Hong Kong as well as adding their fresh unique colours to the charts in 2012. ‘In Wonder', the band's first album brought great collaborations, with the producer Nellee Hooper (Massive Attack, Björk, U2, Madonna) and Alan O'Connell (Placebo, Gossip). Singtank takes us on a journey, with perfectly cut pop songs and neat melodies.

The vocal harmonies between Josephine and Alexander transport us into a colorful imaginary world where the songs are at times indie-rock (‘Give it to me'), heart pulling tunes (‘Superstar', ‘Dicksmith') or radiant ballads (‘Blue', ‘Jupiter').

Not forgetting the unmistakeable single ‘The Party', Inspired by the Kinks, Pulp, Flaming Lips, but also by the newer groups like Belle & Sebastian or Metronomy, Singtank's ‘In Wonder', is an album, which shows us that French Pop has no reason to hide behind British pop.

They are Alexander and Josephine de La Baume. Brother and sister. They are SINGTANK.
